Ball Check Valves in Grey and Spheroidal Cast Iron
Ball check valves are non-return valves that operate on their own when the ball stops, the ball returns to its housing and the backflow is stopped. This valve is based on the free movement of the ball within the body, the design of the ball guide and the delivery line ensures a completely open and unrestricted passage, in fact they are full bore with minimal pressure drop.
The internal body of the ball check valve is never obstructed due to the automatic action; this feature means that these valves can be used with fluids containing particles, but not with aggressive fluids. The ball check valve is maintenance-free and cleans itself automatically.
Ball valves can be installed either horizontally or vertically, but the fluid direction when the valve is open must be in the direction indicated by the arrow. The maximum fluid temperature is 70°C, the maximum operating pressure is 16 bar except for DN 250 and DN 300 which is 10 bar. Sealing is achieved through the action of an NBR rubber ball. Ball check valves can be flanged or threaded.
